Brief Introduction to CNHDI

China New Building Materials Industry Hangzhou Design & Research Institute was set up in 1953. Facing at domestic and international market, it is the first grade comprehensive engineering design and research institute engaged in engineering design for building material projects, such as new building materials, glass, cement and ceramics etc. The Institute has the first grade Qualification Certificates for engineering design, project consultation, construction supervision and project general contracting etc. in the whole building material industry, and the Qualification Certificate for Import & Export Co. and foreign economic cooperative business operation of the P. R. C. Our Institute has passed ISO 9001:2000 quality control system certification. It has rich design experience and excellent R&D and manufacture ability for new technology and complete set of mechanical and electrical equipment, and strong and high-competent technical force with all specialties.

Our Institute is the earliest institute in China, engaged in R&D and design of new building materials. In the middle of 1970’s, the institute developed and designed the first plasterboard production line with independent intellectual property in China. Through constantly effort and pioneering for 30 years, it successively made outstanding achievements in development and innovation of technical equipment for building plaster and gypsum products. The institute has formed the series of  plasterboard production line with annual capacity of 2~50million m², and has manufacture and matching ability of complete set of technical equipment for production lines with various capacities, such as building plaster, decorating plasterboard and gypsum block etc. Up to now, CNHDI has designed over 50 various production lines such as building plaster and gypsum products, which are already in operation. The technology of these production lines is advanced and applicable; the equipments are mature and reliable. They won the praise of the owners. Among these achievements of R&D and design works, 2 projects have been granted with state awards; 5 projects have been granted with provincial awards.

Our Institute has “Test & Inspection Center for Decorating & Building Materials Quality of China Building Materials Industry”, one of its main functions is to test and inspect building plaster and plaster product. “Special Committee of Building Material Branch of Chinese Ceramic Society on Plaster and Building Products” is also set up in our Institute. Our Institute has prepared 6 State Standards on plaster and plaster products, and 7 Industrial Standards. Our Institute has strong technical force in respects of building plaster and plaster products, and has made great contribution to the society. So the Institute now has enjoyed good reputation at home.

          Our Institute has successfully exported production technology of plaster stucco and plasterboard to Southeast Asia and Africa. These production lines are all successfully put into operation and have obtained profound results. Our Institute is ready to offer service in whole engineering construction process to satisfy clients both at home and abroad with advanced technology, scientific management in effective economical manner.
